ATLANTA, GA – April 3, 2018 – Visix, Inc. has been honored with a Bronze APEX Award in the Education and Healthcare category for its work at Georgia State University (GSU). The APEX Awards were created to recognize and honor achievement in the installation of digital displays and interactive technology and the creation of compelling viewer content.
“The APEX award reinforces our belief that our technologies and services continue to raise the standards for enterprise deployments in higher education,” says Sean Matthews, President and CEO of Visix. “Scalability, ease of use and data mapping capabilities are helping GSU realize their vision of connecting with, and influencing the behavior of, tens of thousands of students daily.”
GSU partnered with Visix to deploy an enterprise digital signage solution across six campuses throughout metro Atlanta. More than 300 media players, interactive room signs and electronic-paper signs powered by AxisTV software deliver visual communications to students, faculty, staff, and visitors about the university, specific departments, events and more.
The results of the deployment have exceeded expectations by increasing campus-wide adoption of the digital signage system by 200 percent in two years and reducing campus-wide poster printing costs by more than 40 percent. A centralized site license has saved the university tens of thousands of dollars in annual fees.
At the Digital Signage Expo (DSE) 2018 APEX Awards Ceremony on March 28 in Las Vegas, Gold, Silver and Bronze awards were presented to winners in nine digital signage categories from a field of 116 entrants from 10 countries.
