Visix Hotel Wayfinding Design Wins Davey Award for Best User Experience

ATLANTA, GA – NOVEMBER 7, 2017 – Visix, Inc. has been honored with a Silver Davey Award for their custom wayfinding design for Crowne Plaza Atlanta Midtown. The award is in the feature category of Best User Experience, recognizing superior design and navigation as a whole.

The project was commissioned by Crowne Plaza to assist guests in locating meetings and events within the hotel. It includes interactive wayfinding and an events directory fed by the hotel’s Delphi database tied to floor maps. The custom design spotlights the organization’s branding, and was created using HTML5, so the entire wayfinding project is responsive for mobile devices.

“We’re thrilled to have won an award in this brand-new category,” says Jill Perardi, Creative Services Manager for Visix. “User experience is what wayfinding is all about, and our team works hard to marry the customer vision with the best design and navigation possible. User experience is especially important in hotel wayfinding, since you’re reaching all types of viewers. We’re honored that the Davey Awards has recognized our efforts.”

The Visix Creative Services team has been honored with over 90 awards for their digital signage designs.
