Our EPS room signs come with a stylish black faceplate, or our stock faceplate designs can use various shapes with raised room numbers, braille, different finishes, and your organization’s colors and logo.
The Standard
EPS 74 units are delivered with a standard black acrylic faceplate in a satin finish with rounded corners. The faceplate is 8” wide x 5.43” high x 1/8” deep, and has an additional 3/4″ deep frame on the back to easily attach it to your EPS.
Important Note! If you are using raised text and/or braille, you MUST order a custom faceplate. The standard black acrylic faceplate does not have room for text.

ADA Compliance
To meet ADA standards for accessible design, you’ll need to follow the following criteria for room sign text and braille:
- All raised lettering applied to faceplates must be upper case.
- Raised fonts must be chosen from the ADA-approved sans serif fonts on the form. No substitutions are possible.
- Room names, numbers and braille must be applied as raised lettering to the faceplate.
- Braille must be included on the faceplate for all raised room names and numbers. Our standard is Grade 2 braille.
- Frames must be at least 2” tall along the top or bottom in order to print raised text in those areas.
- Room names, numbers and raised text must be in sans serif font between 5/8” and 2” in height.
- Braille must be placed directly under raised lettering for room names or numbers, and will be .25” height.
- All raised lettering and braille must be a minimum of 3/8” from all edges and other raised elements, and have a minimum of 3/8” between the lettering and braille elements.
Revisions
You are entitled to one free revision to the first draft of your custom faceplate. Any additional revisions to second draft or beyond will incur additional fees. All requested revisions should be sent to your Visix Client Success Manager in a single email or during a single phone call. Any revisions sent after the email or phone call will be incorporated into future drafts, which will incur additional fees.
