AxisTV Manage

Overview Player Snapshots view navigation changes
The Manage | Overview Player Snapshots subject now supports pagination and navigation. The number of player snapshot rows shown at one time can be changed. The default number of snapshot rows displayed at once time is two.

Details view now the default for specific workflows
The following workflow screens now default to details view:

  • Manage | Message Playlists
  • Manage | Message Playlist Items
  • Manage | Layout Playlists
  • Manage | Layout Playlist Items

The default view now can be managed under My Profile.

My Profile redesigned and enhanced
My Profile has been enhanced and redesigned to accommodate more settings. My Profile now allows users to configure the behavior of Manage | Overview and the default views for Manage | Message Playlists, Message Playlist Items, Layout Playlists and Layout Playlist Items.

Page-load times improvements
The following hubs have been tuned to improve page-load times:

  • Administer | Playlists
  • Administer | Users
  • Manage | Message Playlist Items
  • Manage | Layout Playlist Items
  • Manage | Players
  • Administer | Players
  • Administer | Player Relays
  • Manage | Message Playlists

Unenforced values removed
“Limit item count to” has been removed from the detail display in the Administer | Message Playlists and Administer | Layout Playlists hubs.

Right-to-left (RTL) language support
Right-to-left (RTL) language support has been verified in the Filled-In Message wizard. The wizard allows text blocks to be filled-in with right-to-left languages and allows the messages to be saved with right-to-left language names.

All directory level “Applies to” locations are recursive
Administer | Users no longer allows administrators to assign directory-level rights that are not recursive.

Other enhancements:

  • Content Managers in a suborganization now able to create categories
  • “Remove from Schedule” now accessible for all users with Approve Layouts rights
  • Various bug fixes

AxisTV Design

Text-based widgets now default to horizontal alignment
The text-based widgets Text Block, Date-Time Text, Data-Mapped Text, Data-Mapped Text Splitter and Data-Mapped Auto-Sizing Text now default to right horizontal alignment when dropped onto the design surface while using a right-to-left keyboard.

Sort data source widget data
The Sort widget, a new type of widget called a modifier, is now available and can modify the data returned by an inbound data-source widget by sorting its data by one or more columns in either ascending or descending order.

Web Browser widget updated
The Web Browser widget has been updated to use Chromium 71.

Right-to-left (RTL) language support
Right-to-left (RTL) language support has been verified in the all text widgets, including data-mapped text widgets, excluding the Data-Mapped Scrolling Text widget.

AxisTV Design synchronization rules updated
AxisTV Design now synchronizes content using the new rule that all directory-level rights are recursive.

Event Management data sort in ascending order
All Event Management data source inbound widgets now sort events by the event start time, in ascending order. The new sort can be viewed during widget testing using the Test button when designing the event message.

AxisTV Engage

Data filtering now available
The Filter widget, a new type of widget called a modifier, is now available and can modify the data returned by an inbound data-source widget by filtering its data-based value comparisons of on one or more columns.

Client applications have more control over widget playback
Client applications, such as AxisTV Design, now have more control over the lifespan of inbound widgets. Under normal circumstances inbound widgets cannot be stopped once they are started without a complete playback factory reset, but designer applications require more control over their behavior in order to support certain preview scenarios.

Web Browser widget updated
The Web Browser widget has been updated to use Chromium 71.

Cloner Widget now manages configuration misalignments
The cloner widget now handles configuration misalignments between Content Designers and Content Submitters that result in either duplicated cloned data-mapped messages or infinite cloned data-mapped messages. It now overrides the configuration misalignment to assert one clone in these situations. For example, Content Designers can create a Current Weather message without having to communicate to Content Submitters that the schedule must specify one slide.
