Channel Players
Visix solutions use a
single Web hosting
Content Server that delivers updates to any number of
local or remotely located Channel Players, Room Signs or Content
Publishers. Channel Players reside on your network as appliances,
outputting audio and video to an infinite number of digital displays.
Our Channel Players utilize a custom embedded Windows® XP
Operating System with automated content updating. Built-in security,
including Windows® firewall, ensures your data is protected. The Channel
Players support both static and dynamic IP addresses. Remote updates and
diagnostics deliver maximum accessibility and on-time information.
Mini Form Factor
Measuring just 6.5”
(wide) x 2” (high) x 6.5” (deep) and weighing only 3 lbs., the
mini form factor player is ideal for mounting to the back of an LCD or
plasma display.
This compact player can support multiple content blocks,
tickers, layouts and more.
Small Form Factor
Small form factor
players are popular in applications where the client wants more options
in a compact package –
12.4" (wide) x 3.7" (high) x
17.6"
(deep) and weighing 15 lbs. This player exploits the onboard graphics
adapter supporting a range of aspect ratios and resolutions. The small
form factor also supports a range of hardware options including video
window and enhanced graphics card.
If you need to mount the Small Form
Factor Channel Player to the back of a plasma or LCD, Visix recommends the
Chief PAC-252 CPU/DVD/VCR Universal Adaptor.

Rack Mount
Our most popular option, the rack mount Channel Player is designed for
IT departments that want to centralize players. These Channel Players
ship with rack ears for the most common rack configurations. The rack
mount player measures 17” (wide) x 3.5” (2RU high) x 22.5” (deep) and
weighs 31 lbs. This player supports every hardware option.
Channel Player Application
The Channel Player software is a custom
embedded application based on the Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional
Operating System (OS). Depending on the associated Content Server
Application (Standard, Professional or Enterprise),
the Channel Player can be configured to support a wide range of
multimedia functions. Features include built-in security firewall,
automated content updating, remote updates and diagnostics, and support
for static and dynamic IP addresses.

All of the Channel Players above ship with onboard video enabled. In
some instances, clients may need extended video resolutions and refresh
rates to support the native resolutions of specific plasma displays and
LCD's. Users should consult individual product specifications when
evaluating display options.
