Player Resolution Support
All Channel Player hardware from Visix supports the most common 4:3, 16:9 and 9:16 display resolutions ranging from 800x600 to 1920x1080. A list of supported resolutions includes 800x600, 1024x768, 1152x864, 1280x720, 1280x768, 1280x800, 1280x960, 1280x1024, 1360x768, 1366x768, 1400x1050, 1440x900, 1600x900, 1680x1050 and 1920x1080.
Please note that the actual resolutions available in the display settings of a Channel Player will be determined by the connection to the monitor or signal distribution system. Monitors pass EDID information to the Channel Player, when possible, to inform the Channel Player of supported resolutions. The Channel Player will adjust the list of available resolutions based on those reported by the monitor(s)
If EDID information is not available, then the Channel Player will default to a limited set of resolutions that are supported by most monitors. Often signal distribution products block EDID information from reaching the Channel Player, causing the absence of desired resolutions. Visix recommends the use of EDID emulators in this situation as they will provide EDID information to the Channel Player. The user can then select the desired resolution (assuming the display hardware can support that resolution).
If your project will include unusual displays or you will be building content to specific pixel dimensions, contact Visix to ensure the Channel Players support the desired resolution.
