Hardware Upgrades


 

It is not uncommon for upgrades and advancements in software application features to exceed the capabilities of the machines on which the application was originally installed. Visix technologies are not immune from this development rule.

 

As our product line evolves, the advancements are bound to exceed the hardware specifications of your original hardware purchase. At that point, you will need to determine whether or not it is more feasible to upgrade your existing hardware or replace the physical platform.

 

Below you will find a list Visix upgrade services and associated prices:

 

What we do:

 

  • Perform hardware diagnostic tests to assure the system is in working condition

  • Replace any failed hardware components – additional charges will apply for non-warranty components

  • Install/replace all hardware components necessary to meet minimum hardware requirements, if any – additional charges will apply

  • If requested, attempt to save the customer’s data

    • The customer should backup their data before sending in their system

    • Visix is not responsible for data lost in the upgrade process

  • Install/upgrade any third-party software to meet minimum requirements – additional charges may apply

    • Includes applying the latest Windows Critical Updates and Service Packs, installing updated drivers, cleaning up log files and temporary files, etc.

  • Rebuild the system

  • Install, license, and configure Visix applications

  • Perform a thorough test of the system

  • Provide web-based user training

 

 

What we charge:

 

  • $299  – Upgrade 1-Channel System (Content Server with one Channel Player, or a Lite System)

  • $129 – Upgrade additional Channel Player

  • $99 – Data Recovery

  • Shipping and Handling
