Hardware Upgrades


 

Upgrade for Optimal Performance

 

It’s not uncommon for advancements in software applications to exceed the capabilities of the machines where the application was originally installed. As our product line evolves, advancements are bound to exceed the hardware specifications of your original hardware purchase. Upgrading your hardware is a great way to keep your system operating at maximum efficiency.

Customers will receive new hardware with the latest Visix software version installed. Our Client Services Group will work with you to determine the best course of action - upgrading or replacement - to get you up and running with the latest technology.

Includes:

  • Performing hardware diagnostic tests to assure the system is in working condition

  • Installing/replacing all hardware components necessary to meet minimum hardware requirements

  • Replacing any failed hardware components

  • If requested, transferring content and configuration. Visix may be able to retrieve all needed information with a simple web session.

    • Content - All of your content can likely be transferred to the new content manager

    • IP address - We can transfer content manager and channel player IP address information to facilitate an easy transition

    • Computer name - No matter whether the default name is in place or if the customer has renamed it, this can be transferred

    • We are unable to transfer domain memberships, group policies, and some client-installed (third-party) software

  • Installing/upgrading any third-party software related to Visix applications to meet minimum requirements

    • Applying the latest Windows® Critical Updates and Service Packs, installing updated drivers, cleaning up log and temporary files

  • Rebuilding the system

  • Installing, licensing, and configuring Visix applications

  • Performing a thorough test of the system

  • Providing web-based user training for upgrades

Requirements:
. Customers must have a support agreement covering all content managers and channel players
. Customers must supply Visix with the serial numbers of products to be upgraded for verification
. Customers must return original hardware to Visix in working order with all required accessories
. Hardware options from legacy systems may not be compatible with new hardware components

 

Fees:

 

  • $299  – Upgrade 1-Channel System (Content Manager with one Channel Player, or a Lite System)

  • $129 – Upgrade additional Channel Player

  • $99 – Data Recovery

  • Shipping and Handling
