AxisTV Now Offers
Native Support for Flash® Media
July 18, 2006
ATLANTA – TEi (Tech
Electronics, Inc.) announced the addition of native support for Flash®
media to its AxisTV line of visual messaging and digital signage
applications. The new feature was demonstrated at the InfoComm trade
show in Orlando, Florida in June 2006. The Flash® addition was one of
seven new products unveiled at the event.
Flash® native files can
now be imported and included with other graphic image, rich media and
audio files used in AxisTV visual messaging applications. The new
feature is functional in AxisTV versions 6.0 and higher. The media
format addition is made possible, in part, to a license agreement signed
with Adobe® reseller NEC Corporation of America. The arrangement
ensures that AxisTV users are in compliance with the published EULA
(end-user licensing agreement) for using Flash® in digital signage
applications.
“The addition of native
Flash® media support allows AxisTV users greater creative flexibility in
their visual communication designs,” stated Sean Matthews, President of
TEi. “Video clips, Flash® files in particular, are becoming an
increasingly popular medium with AxisTV users. Native support for that
medium enhances the output and makes creating, managing and delivering
dynamic communications easier for our clients,” added Matthews.
The other new products
announced at InfoComm include a completely redesigned GUI (v.6.0),
AxisTV Enterprise Edition (v.1.1.1), RSS data publisher, AxisTV Text
Messenger, AxisTV Desktop Messenger, and a Microsoft® Exchange® calendar
data adapter. The releases further the company’s mission of empowering
users to create visual communications and digital signage content from
anywhere, delivering to anything.
