Sneak Peek: InfoComm07 New Products Preview

We're showing exciting new technologies at InfoComm07 in Booth 6209!

Visix products are based on communications. Put simply – we want to help people to communicate ideas and information to their audience when and where they need.

This year's InfoComm07 exhibit features the latest innovations of Visix visual communications tools, allowing attendees to experience hands-on demonstrations of the hottest in-demand technologies.

AxisTV v.6.6

Version 6.6 includes two new client-requested features and support tools designed to improve the user experience.  New optional features include support for media streaming and video overlay with onboard tuner support. The media streaming support option enables users to schedule a live or pre-recorded media stream to be displayed in a Channel Player content block. This feature provides clients the ability to display endless sources of captivating video content, ranging from internal communications and event information to breaking news, weather and sports.

AxisTV v.6.6 also supports a new video overlay card featuring integrated tuner capabilities. The inclusion of the option is designed to significantly enhance the user experience by integrating tuner control in a browser and provide a simple and cost-effective video source solution by eliminating the need for additional hardware like an external tuner.

ux007

UX07 is our revolutionary new software user interface, or user experience (UX).

It is based on a platform that is the foundation of future AxisTV releases and other software applications from Visix. It is the first of its kind in browser-based visual communications, based on the latest best practices for Human-Computer

Interaction, and embodies the latest advances in multimedia and UX technologies.

UX07 speeds your communications tasks with WYSIWYG content creation and preview and drag-and-drop capabilities, all from a web browser. The platform supports a suite of interfaces tailored to the user’s skills, enabling even the most novice client to quickly create sophisticated content. More experienced users and graphic designers can use our advanced creation tools or incorporate multimedia content from the most popular commercial design and editing applications.

Mini Channel Player

Visix will officially introduce its new Mini Channel Player at InfoComm 2007. The player offers users a powerful, yet compact, option to larger players, when space limitations and aesthetics are of utmost importance. The sleek aluminum chassis is designed for confined areas, and the player easily mounts to the back of an LCD or plasma display.

Measuring just 6.5” (wide) x 2” (high) x 6.5” (deep) and weighing only 3 lbs., the new Visix Mini Channel Player is similar in size to that of the MacÒ Mini. The compact player supports most of the same features as the larger players (multiple content blocks, tickers, and layouts) in a quiet, compact package.

The Channel Player features a WindowsÒ XP Operating System tuned for use with AxisTV, allowing users of Visix software to take advantage of the full range of “best in class” security and administrative features.  Options such as integrated wireless networking allow the mini player to be located in areas that are difficult to access with a wired network such as elevators and anywhere free standing displays are located.  The mini, which has been field tested for more than six months, joins the Visix world-class line of hardware, including the company’s Small Form Factor and Rack mount Channel Player units.
