Ed guides the company’s progress on a daily basis through management and oversight. He has nearly 40 years of experience in the professional audiovisual industry, and continues to bolster Visix’s relationships with manufacturers, resellers and associations.
Ed began his career with the Ampex Video Company, a major manufacturer of video products for the Broadcast Television Industry, located in Atlanta, Georgia, where he served as Service Manager. In 1969,he joined the Calhoun Company, which later became Technical Industries, Inc. MCSi acquired Technical Industries in 1999, and Ed transitioned to the role of President, MCSi, Southeast Region until returning to Atlanta to run Tech Electronics, Inc. (TEi) in 2004. In November of 2006, TEi changed its name to Visix, Inc.
During Ed’s distinguished career, he has been involved with Technical Industries’ design and installation of the International Broadcast Center (IBC) for the 1996 Summer Olympics, as well as their installation of the IBC and all 19 venues for the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan. With MCSi, Ed played an integral part in their design and installation of the IBC, the Olympic Stadium and the Superdome venue control rooms for the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, as well as the Japan Olympic Consortium for the 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City, Utah, which served as the broadcast center for Japan's broadcasters covering the games.
Ed is an active member of ICIA, ITVA, SMPTE and PMI. He received an associate degree in Electronics and attended Southern Technical Institute in Atlanta, Georgia.
Christy’s responsibilities include analysis of all financial aspects of the company, participation in key management decisions and formulation of company policy.
She is also responsible for development and management of company internal systems, including administrative, accounting and human resource policies and procedures.
In just a few years, Christy has managed to substantially reduce the company’s debt, renegotiate banking relationships and terms, reduce DSO, and improve cash flows through managed equity.
Prior to working for Visix, Christy held key management and finance positions with an established, regional supplier of audiovisual equipment, and a rapidly growing construction firm.
She has a B.S. in Business Management from Florida State University.
Since accepting this position in June 2004, Sean has guided a comprehensive corporate reorganization including a company relocation and name change, establishing field offices, outsourcing non-essential activities, introducing a suite of new products, growing revenues by more than 130%, sustaining 35% CAGR four years running and tripling the number of employees to provide better products and services.
A 14-year veteran of the visual communications industry, Sean started as an Account Executive with Technical Industries, Inc. before moving over to Tech Electronics, Inc. as Executive Vice President. Here, Sean displaced a negative equity position with not only positive equity, but reduced its debt by 70%, outsourced its manufacturing processes, increased revenues by 50% and introduced two new product lines. He then returned to Technical Industries just prior to its acquisition by MSCi, Inc.
After the merger, he served as both Vice President of Marketing and Vice President of Strategic Initiatives for MCSi before moving to the position of President, Western Region.
Sean received his undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston, in South Carolina, and his graduate studies were at Georgia State University in Atlanta.
He served in the United States Marine Corps and the Marine Corps Reserve between 1985 and 1992, and is a veteran of the Persian Gulf War (1990–1991).
He also served with the United States Treasury Department as a Special Agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (1991 – 1993).
Trey was promoted to Vice President, Sales in December 2005 after holding the position of Director of Sales and Marketing for seven years. Prior to that, he was Western U.S. Sales Manager for three years.
Trey joined Visix (formerly TEi) in 1994 as a marketing manager, and moved into sales after 14 months. He is responsible for company sales globally, and manages the Visix sales team and reseller partner relationships. Trey also substantially contributes to Visix product management and planning through customer, industry and technology research.
Trey grew up in North Georgia and graduated from Emory University in Atlanta with a degree in Economics.
Tonya has over nine years of experience in the audiovisual industry. She joined Visix in 2006 as a Deployment Specialist, overseeing on-site implementation and training for Visix customers.
She was promoted to her new role in May of 2008. Tonya supervises of all of our consulting, creative, training and software configuration services.
Prior to joining Visix, Tonya gained extensive managerial and technical experience during her eight-year tenure with Wire One Communications (formally V-SPAN, Inc.).
She served in numerous roles, focusing in several areas of expertise - including training, operations, and technical support.
Tonya is a graduate of Georgia Southern University, with a Bachelor of Science in Communications.
Brian has been in the customer support industry for over 12 years. He began working as a Tier 1 support representative for a small Orthodontic company called OMS Systems, where he eventually served as Senior Manager of Technical Support, managing a team of 60 support personnel that included five team leads and two support managers. In 2008, Brian moved to the Enterprise Imaging Group at McKesson Inc. where he developed his skills in Best in Class Customer Service and helped the support center achieve its fifth, sixth, and seventh Support Certifications (SCP) from Service Strategies.
Since 2004, Brian has been a member of HDI - the world’s largest membership, training, and certification association for technical support professionals. He served as Vice President of Communication for the Atlanta Chapter from 2006 until 2009, and has been certified by HDI as a Helpdesk Manager, Service Strategies.
Brian’s current responsibilities include managing both the internal helpdesk and external customer support for Visix. He ensures that support requests are addressed quickly with a focus on quality. Brian uses customer surveys and productivity statistics to coach the support staff and make improvements that will enable Visix to excel in its customer support services.
Brian received his Bachelor in Science from Georgia Tech in December of 1997.
Debbie has designed and executed all marketing and communications campaigns at Visix, including corporate and product branding, promotions and advertising, newsletters, web, sales tools, and event planning since 2004.
Prior to joining Visix, Debbie spent three years as a marketing manager for MCSi, Inc. after the company merged with her employer of four years – Audio Visual Systems (AVS) – where she was working as Marketing Coordinator and Event Production Manager. She came to AVS after nine years in the concert audio and lighting industry.
Debbie graduated from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, with Bachelor of Science degrees in Marketing and Accounting. She currently lives and works in Prague in the Czech Republic.
Ellyce serves as the company’s liaison to local, industry and national media, ensuring the timely distribution of pertinent Visix news and prompt response to media inquiries.
Ellyce also pursues joint public relations initiatives with Visix Premier integrators, technology partners, resellers and end-users, while fostering her long-time relationships with industry media contacts.
Ellyce has over ten years of experience in sales, marketing, and public relations. She began her professional career in 1996 as a sales associate with The Florida Marlins (MLB) in the Group and Season Sales department.
In 1998, she joined Mitsubishi’s Diamond Vision Group as a marketing associate. She later served as Public Relations Manager for Barco, Inc., for five years, prior to launching her own PR firm, Kudzu Publicity, LLC in 2004.
Ellyce also works as a Software Trainer for Visix and holds a Bachelor of Science in Media Communications from Kennesaw State University, near Atlanta, Georgia.
